Grand River Park

A small quiet park with a lot of features is what Grand River Park is.  Upon arriving you will se a small pond with a fishing dock, a decent sized playground, picnic tables, and a trailhead sign.

The pond is full of small bluegills and largemouth bass.  Another fishing opportunity near this park is the Grand River which is past the park entrance down  to the end of the road.  You can fish from shore at the Grand River or use the boat launch.  There is plenty of parking at both locations.

If a picnic with you kids is your thing then this is a good place to go.  The kids can play on the playground while you enjoy the scenery.

Looking for a more adventurous endevor?  Then hit the trails either by foor or mountain bike.  You can explore a wide variety of scenery.  The inner grasslands and field loops are mostly flat with mulititudes of wildflowers from mid summer to late fall.  The inner trails are best in fall color time.  If you want more of a challeng then take the Hawk Trail and Ridge Loop.  These are quite steep so don't try them unless you are in decent shape.  In the spring one the more difficult trails you will be rewarded for you efforts with spring wildflowers.  The River Loop is not as difficult, but wear your waterproof boots if you try it since it may be very muddy depending on home much precipitation we recieve.  These trails are open year round for anybody who likes to snowshoe or cross country ski.

Grand River Park is a great place to visit with something for everyone to enjoy.
